2010 Northern Jazz Festival
This will be held in Dargaville on the first weekend in October, 1st to 3rd. We will again have a Dine & Dance to the music of the Basin City Big Band on the Friday evening and a Champagne Breakfast to the accompaniment of the Tony Parker Breakfast Club on the Sunday morning. The Bay Windjammers, from the Bay of Islands, are an addition to the programme this year. More bands may well be added to the program as time goes on.

Dargaville’s Produce Market
October 21st this year, will see the launch of Dargaville’s new Produce Market, which will operate from Ad Focus’s car park between 3 and 7pm on Thursday afternoons. Although the idea of a similar market has been mooted several times, this is the first time something concrete has been put in place. Currently have 20 confirmed markets selling all sorts of produce including eggs, bacon, olives and olive oils, herbs, avocados, kumara, carrots, strawberries and a few suprises.
