The temperate micro-climate, together with unique volcanic soils, has made Kerikeri famous for growing most horticulture crops. Kiwifruit, orchids, squash, mandarins, lemons, are all sent to world-wide markets. We have horticulture growers producing palms, vegetable seedlings, and many small market growers growing produce for the table and selling directly from the orchard gate.
Every Sunday morning in Kerikeri is the Bay of Islands Farmers' Market where the local Northland growers sell direct to the public. A great morning out with coffees, pizza, entertainment & the freshest range of fruit & vege.
